CG Questions: Daniel - Prayer, Provision & Prophecy

How long since your last quiet time with God? Do you routinely take quiet time in seasons of peace and blessing? Or only in seasons of struggle and challenge?

Do the “wondrous” conveniences and distractions of the world keep you from being awed by the Wonders of God? Would God have to show up at your door to be in wonder/awe of His presence?

Do you pray prayers of confession and repentance? Do you find it easier to pray prayers of adoration, thanksgiving and supplication? 

What barriers exist in your life that make it hard to confess your sin in prayer to God, or to other brothers and sisters in Christ?

What figures (historical, scriptural, familial, personal, etc…) have taught/mentored you in how to pray?  Do you feel as if you are ready to teach and mentor others in their prayer life? 

How do you see prophecy, as metaphor or literal? Does it depend on the prophecy? Is the fulfillment/result of prophecy metaphorical or literal?

What is the importance of biblical prophecy? Where have you seen that importance over-elevated (i.e. taken too far)?
